📘 How to read the WAKE map

The WAKE map is the screen we use to read a sharp move while it happens and in the hour after it. This guide explains its parts from top to bottom.

The state line

At the top, one line says what state the market is in: normal, a fall (🌊), a rebound (🚀), a box (🦀), a trend up or down, or a warning. It is decided by one function on our server, so every screen and the AI analyst read the same state.

The 1-minute chart

The chart shows 1-minute candles. When a fall or a squeeze is open, it starts 15 minutes before the move began; otherwise it shows the last two hours. You can switch to 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours or 24 hours. Marks on the chart are the whale moves of our observatory: WF (fall), SQ (squeeze) and SH (shake-out), each with its size in percent.

The whale band

Under the chart is a thin band with four lines: order flow (CVD: buying minus selling), the change of open interest, liquidations, and the order book tilt. A falling price with falling open interest means positions are closing. A falling price with rising open interest means new shorts are being added.

DRY

DRY means the selling has dried up: order flow over the hour is no longer strongly negative and open interest has stopped rising. A fall that turns DRY is often close to its bottom, but not always; the state line and the stage table tell you which.

The stage table

During a fall the right side shows a table of stages: 0 before the move, then the fall, the first rebound at 30%, 50%, 64% and 80% of the drop, and the end. Each stage lists the price where it starts and which tool would act there. The numbers are worked out from the high and the low of the move, not guessed.

The next 60 minutes

Below the stage table, 「the next 60 minutes」 lists what to watch: the price levels, the condition for each one, and whether it is already reached. It does not place orders. It shows what the models are waiting for.

Short-side spots

One line shows two spots that have no fixed rule: a fake rise that may turn into a fall, and a squeeze that has cooled and may be pushed back. When either holds, the line changes colour. These are recorded as shadow tools only; no order is placed from them.

How to use it

Read from the top: the state, then the marks on the chart, then the band. If the price falls and open interest falls too, the move is positions closing. If the band turns DRY and the first rebound passes 30%, the stage table shows where the models would act. Then compare with what the models actually did on the live page.
