Abyss Scuba is a calm dive over a tropical reef. The start screen names the place: Wuzhizhou Island, Hainan. There are no enemies, no timer and no air gauge. You look around, drift with the water, and tap the animals you meet to learn what they are.
The reef is split into four depth zones: Coral Garden above 8 m, The Reef from 8 to 18 m, the Drop-off from 18 to 30 m, and the Deep Blue below that, down to a limit of 40 m. As in real water, red is the first colour to fade as you go deeper. A torch brings it back. The game runs in the browser on phones and computers, with nothing to install.
How to play
- Tap Get in the water. You start just under the surface, at 1.6 m.
- Drag across the screen to look around. You are always swimming slowly forward in the direction you are looking, so turning the view is also how you steer. Looking down takes you deeper.
- Use the BCD buttons on the right to inflate (INF) or vent (VENT) your vest. More air lifts you, less air lets you sink. The Depth readout at the top left shows where you are, and the zone name appears under it.
- Tap any fish, shell or ray to open its card: common name, scientific name and a short note. The first time you meet a species the card says NEW FIND and a soft tone plays.
- Open the book counter at the top right (for example 3/18) to see your Reef Guide, grouped by zone. Species you have not met yet show as ???.

Rules
- There is no time limit and no way to fail. The dive continues as long as you like.
- Your depth stays between 0.5 m and 40 m, and you cannot go below the seabed. The seabed is shallow in some directions (about 12 m) and falls away to about 36 m in others.
- The vest gives less lift the deeper you are, so the same amount of air that holds you near the surface will not hold you at 25 m.
- The thin bar on the left edge is a buoyancy gauge. The needle moves with how fast you are rising or sinking, and turns orange when that speed gets high.
- Each zone has its own animals: 6 in the Coral Garden, 6 on the Reef, 4 on the Drop-off and 2 in the Deep Blue. Now and then an animal from a neighbouring zone wanders in.
Tips
- Make small, short presses on INF and VENT. Buoyancy has momentum, and the gauge tells you when you are moving too fast.
- Turn the torch on below about 15 m. Only animals near the centre of the view and within a few metres get lit, so face what you want to see and swim closer.
- The two Deep Blue animals, the Whitetip Reef Shark and the Manta Ray, need depth past 30 m. Follow the direction where the seabed drops away.
- Bottom dwellers such as the Blue Sea Star, Giant Clam and Moray Eel sit near the seabed. Look down as you pass over the sand.
FAQ
Which animals can I find?
Eighteen, including Clownfish, Bannerfish, Parrotfish, Green Sea Turtle, Nudibranch, Lionfish, Cuttlefish, Whitetip Reef Shark and Manta Ray. Each card adds a short note, such as how the Parrotfish grinds coral into sand.
Why does everything look blue-green when I go deep?
The game fades red first with depth, like real sea water, and it also gets darker and hazier. Switch on the torch to bring colour back to nearby animals.
Is my Reef Guide saved?
It is kept while the page is open. Reloading the page starts a fresh guide.
Can I play on a computer?
Yes. Drag with the mouse to look, hold Up/Down or W/S for the BCD, press F for the torch and click animals.
What languages does it support?
English, Korean, Chinese and Vietnamese. It follows your browser language, or you can add ?lang=ko (or en, zh, vi) to the address.
